-CVESD SOCCER LEAGUE BOOK/FILM: Did you know we're the largest, and maybe the only organized elementary school soccer league in the country?  A screenplay version has just been completed of Gil Sperry's book , "Soccer's Story & A Futbol Fable," which is about Valle Lindo's miraculous '07 season, in particular, and our league, in general. The feature film version is planned for release prior to this year's (2009) holiday season. It will be titled "The Beautiful Game, A Beautiful Season." Get ready for the big premiere! Three schools...Juarez-Lincoln, Los Altos, and Otay...have already had the author present his "How To Write A Book Assembly" to their student bodies and nearly $2000 has been raised towards the $10,000 needed for the referee training, certification, and payment program, including all the fees needed for the upcoming district tournament. As an added incentive to keep this program working until season's end, the author and the screenwriters (one of whom was the Script Supervisor for "The Dark Knight") will present a signed copy of the original screenplay to the student at each school in the district who sells the most books. About Us

The Chula Vista Elementary School District Soccer League is committed to fostering a wholesome community spirit through the practice of good sportsmanship in our soccer games.  In this regard, the C.V.E.S.D.S.L. expects that all players, parents, supporters, coaches, and officials will be polite, positive, and generous in their conduct before, during, and after soccer games.  In particular we wish to train our youth by example to accept winning or losing with grace and to appreciate the efforts of the other team in providing worthy competition.
